Quando uma porta blindada tem problemas... temos que encontrar uma solução! / When an armored door has problems ...we have to find a solution!

Aconteceu-lhe um pequeno acidente de percurso que a traumatizou irreversivelmente, como podem ver:

Andamos há muito tempo a pensar como poderíamos resolver a questão, eis senão que, quando andamos a procura de solução para o chão do hall, uma das hipóteses colocadas havia sido colocar chão de vinil a imitar madeira... e compramos uma caixa para ver como ficava...

We were for a long time thinking about how we could solve this issue, here but, when we were searching for a solution to the floor of the hall, one of the hypotheses we thinked about was to put vinyl on the floor imitating wood ... and bought a box to see how it looked ...

 



 

 

No chão não. Mas encontramos a solução para a porta!

Tiramos o aro em madeira, que está aparafusado  /  We took the timber rim, which is screwed



Desaparafusamos também a fechadura e a tranca  / Unscrew  also the locker and the lock

Ainda não está perfeito. Falta pintar o aro de madeira da cor do aro de ferro que está por baixo, ou seja, de castanho/ preto.

P.S. - Temos de acrescentar que nem tudo é tão perfeito como parece. O vinil é autocolante, mas foi preparado para aplicar no chão. O que aconteceu, de ontem para hoje, é que algumas pecas se descolaram. Voltamos a colocar e pensamos que depois de voltar a colocar o aro terá ficado preso. Só amanha é que sabemos. De qualquer forma o pior que pode acontecer é ter de aplicar cola extra.

 

Por outro lado, e apesar de o vinil ter apenas cerca de 2mm de espessura, a fechadura ficou mais presa e as chaves não rodam com tanta facilidade. O pior que pode acontecer é ter de cortar o vinil por baixo da fechadura, o que significa mais 2 horas de trabalho e então sim, fica perfeito!

PS - We must add that not everything is as perfect as it seems. The vinyl is sticker , but was prepared to apply in the floor. What happened from yesterday to today, is that some pieces where taken off. We put it again  and we thought after replacing the rim it's arrested. Only will know that tomorrow. Anyway the worst that can happen is having to apply extra glue.

On the other hand, and despite the vinyl have only about 2mm thick, the lock was stuck over the keys and do not run so easily. The worst that can happen is having to cut the vinyl underneath the lock, which means 2 more hours of work, then yes, it's perfect!
