Hello everyone! And today I apologize for my absence but I needed to shut down for a while to charge batteries ...
And I'm back with a theme that was one of the reasons that led me to be away, the maintenance of the house !!
Question: why we all like a brand new home? Is it because it's all clean, nothing broke, there are no risks on the wall, appliances shine, no drips of fat near the stove, there is no dust, nothing of what we do not like, and everything looks perfect!
But after two or three years, begins to have marks on the wall, some cracks, some moisture caused by condensation and after 10 years (like my home) appliances start to break down ... you must replace the water heater, the hood, the coffee machine ... and then there is still the little things: replace the porch lamp, the lampshade that broke, the frame that fell, the hole in the wall of the nail which supported a framework which changed place, the door feathering ... and we can not neglect, or our bright house begins to be degraded and quickly gets a look of thirty years old. without soul! So do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today ... do it!
This time happened to us ... the attic condensation seized the ceiling and white became black within two months, especially in the extremities ... and aware of this problem, in the woods (rolled) which I painted last year, the paint was jumping, getting that look of spoiled that we abhor. The closet door when open was scraping the ground and the clik system to close was spoiled.
It turns out, to paint the ceilings had to take everything that was arranged behind the shelves (we have no garage) and even if I select what I save, I need space to store the Christmas things, the tent and all camping equipment, convas of painted frames, suitcases, and so on (this to say that I can not release the space behind the shelves as I would like).
I selected a few more things to throw away: pro-test magazines, cookbooks, decorating magazines of 10 years ago, objects that will not return to life (because I'll never remember that I have them).
Well, after removing all from behind the shelves, I began to spray the ceiling with a product of UHU against fungus and mold (with active smell of bleach) ... after half an hour were white again, but stained. then painted with a paint Robbialac anti-fungal and humidity. Quickly finish the product of UHU and not felt like me leaving home or going to spend more money, so I started applying pure bleach I put in a spray bottle. The result was the same, later I tell you in the long run as well. Sorry don't have photographs of before.
Someone will say ... again in works ???! But I think: ok, will be an weekend of pandemonium, but then is a show for two or three years. I think it's worth it!
In Aki we buy this wood paneling, pine, which cost just over 5 euros per square meter. We bought 3 packs of 2m2, cut and applied over the peeled laminated wood that it was before.

Antes / Before
tecto pintado de branco / white painted ceiling
O lambrim aplicado sobre a madeira laminada / The paneling placed over the laminated wood
O outro lado da história (socorro!) / The other side of the story ( help!)
We throw away the shelves that were on this side, made of laminated material and were already very spoiled (the same as those that are still on the other side) and Ikea furniture is now occupying their space. Thus, the space is open which reduces the probability of creating condensation again ... I must say that this is the look I would like to have in the whole attic

This side was more overwhelmed to be able to release the other but, one day, I get there !!

ResponderEliminarParabéns, lindas as alterações :)
ResponderEliminarBjs,
