Este fim-de-semana andamos de volta da nossa sala. Finalmente vai levar uma pintura nova, porque apesar de não se notar muito, o que é certo é que tem uma parede creme, outra em azul muito suave e papel de parede em branco e cinzento. E vamos mudar os cortinados que vão passar a ocupar toda a parede, vamos ver como fica. Entretanto, aqui ficam umas imagens que chamaram a minha atenção:

This weekend we walk back to our living room. Finally will have a new painting because despite we don't notice to much, it has a cream wall, another in very soft blue and wallpaper in white and gray. And we'll change the curtains that will now occupy the entire wall, let's see how it looks. Meanwhile, here are some pictures that caught my attention:

Uma casa na Califórnia / A house in California

Eu ia publicar algumas fotografias do depois da casa da D., mas como ainda falta muita coisa hoje deixo-vos com outra casa, já concluída e muito interessante e, para a semana, apresento mais umas do projecto D., ok?:

Casa da / House of D. em Heidelberg

Conforme prometi ontem aqui ficam fotografias do estúdio que a minha filha arrendou em Heidelberg, na Alemanha. É um espaço com 25 m2 e com imensa luz! Virado para as montanhas a localidade é lindíssima ( já aqui mostrei ).

Mais uma vez teve de começar de novo e, a partir do sofá cama que comprou, decidiu que a decoração seria em tons de cinzento, amarelo e madeiras naturais.

As I promised yesterday here are the studio pictures that my daughter rented in Heidelberg, Germany. It is a space of 25 m2 and with great light! Facing the mountains the locale is beautiful (as shown here).

Once again had to start again and, from the sofa she bought, decided that the decoration would be in shades of gray, yellow and natural woods.

Na Alemanha, assim como na Holanda, é comum as casas não terem estores. Isso cria um problema, para o qual eles têm soluções obviamente e que, na maior parte das vezes, passa por cortinados com blackout. Por isso, para conseguir dormir condignamente, quer as portas da varanda, quer a enorme janela ( que tem cerca de 1.20cm por 1.60cm ) tiveram de levar cortinados.

In Germany, as in the Netherlands, it is common the houses don't have shutters. This creates a problem for which they have obviously solutions, that for the most part, involves blackout curtains. So to get to sleep decently the balcony doors and the huge window (which is about 1.20cm by 1.60cm) had to take curtains.

O que se faz por cá / What is going on

Outros trabalhos, outros projectos, o dia devia ter mais de 24 horas... não devo ser a primeira a queixar-me...

Other works, other projects, the day should have more than 24 hours ... I must not be the first to complain about ...

... bem o primeiro projecto foi a colcha que vêm em baixo e que fiz com os cortinados da sala. Eu já tenho estes cortinados há muitos e muitos anos mas, ainda hoje, gosto do padrão e do tecido ( igual aos cadeirões que tenho na sala como podem ver pela fotografia seguinte ) mas vamos fazer umas pequenas alterações, e uma delas é os cortinados que vão passar a ser de parede a parede e do tecto ao chão. Então lançei este desafio a mim própria, fazer uma colcha para a cama. Comprei o dracalon e como os cortinados eram forrados, com o forro fiz o interior da colcha. Problema: tenho uma máquina de costura caseira para pequenos trabalhos e foi muito difícil fazer o pesponto do meio, como podem ver há uma ligeira imperfeição ( que me complica sempre com os nervos ). As almofadas vão desaparecer e ser substituídas por algo em creme mas como ainda não decidi o quê aceito sugestões!

... And the first project was the quilt that comes down and I did with from the living room curtains. I already have these curtains for many, many years, but still today I like the pattern and the fabric (equal to the chairs that I have in the living room as you can see in the following photo) but we will make some small changes, one of which is the curtains that are going to be wall to wall and ceiling to floor. So I threw this challenge to myself, make a quilt for the bed. I bought dracalon and as the curtains were lined, with the lining I made the inside of the quilt. Problem: I have a home sewing machine for small jobs and it was very difficult to make the stitching in the middle, as you can see there is a slight imperfection (which always complicates me  with the nerves). The pads will disappear and be replaced by something else in cream but I have not decided yet so I accept suggestions!

Segundo projecto: estas almofadas já estão de viagem para a Alemanha, onde a minha filha esta a fazer o doutoramento (babete)... lembram-se que há quase dois anos atrás mostrei o projecto da D. e do F. ? Pois foi mesmo por um curto espaco de tempo. Agora há uma casa para decorar na Alemanha, amanhã mostro-vos o espaço vazio, o Antes, e depois de amanhã mostro mais...

Second project: these pillows are already traveling to Germany, where my daughter is doing a PhD (bib) ... remember that almost two years ago I showed the project from D. and F.? It was really for a short space of time. Now there is a house to decorate in Germany, tomorrow I will show you the empty space, the Before, and after tomorrow will show you more ...

E uma toalhinha de chá que tambem vai de viagem... um miminho de última hora...

And a tablecloth for tea time that is also  traveling ... a last-minute little gift ...

E seguem-se ainda uns DIY,s que vos vou mostrar nos proximos dias...

Oto Quê?! / Otto what?!

A Manuela do Blogue Cem Manias lançou-me um desafio: fazer a almofada para uma mesa otomana, com 89 cm de diâmetro.Cá em casa a dita ficou conhecida pela "bolacha" e eu estava super curiosa para ver como tinha ficado e hoje a Manuela publicou o resultado final. Vejam no Blogue do Cem Manias

O mais engraçado é que há uns tempos atrás tive exactamente a mesma conversa com uma amiga minha, porque ela também não sabia o que era uma mesa otomana, e a conversa começou da mesma forma: Oto... quê?

Manuela from the Blog Cem Manias send me a challenge: make a cushion for an Ottoman table with 89 cm in diameter. Here at home the cushion was known as the "cookie" and I was super curious to see how it had become and Manuela today published the final result. See in the Blog Cem Manias

The funny thing is that some time ago I had exactly the same conversation with a friend of mine, because she did not know what was an Ottoman table, and the conversation started the same way: Oto ... what?
